The Second International World Language Education Conference

The 2026 International Conference on World Language Education brings together Chinese and English language educators, researchers, and practitioners from across the globe to share knowledge, explore innovation, and foster collaboration in the field of language education.

The conference will feature a diverse program, including keynote speeches, thematic forums, parallel sessions, workshops, and professional exhibitions. These sessions are designed to achieve the conference's three-tiered objectives: Language Education, Cultural Exchange, and Mutual Learning among Civilizations.

The conference will be conducted in a hybrid format, with an emphasis on in-person attendance complemented by online participation. The in-person event will take place in Kunming, while plenary sessions will be accessible online. Online content is under preparation. Please stay tuned.

Abstract Submission

Participants may click the link below to fill in their session information. Please upload your abstract (400-800 words, including 3-5 keywords) and a speaker biography (maximum 300 words per person) as attachments.

A confirmation message will be automatically sent upon successful submission.

All abstracts will undergo a double-blind peer review by our expert committee. Successful submissions will be selected based on merit, with the opportunity to be recommended for publication in the post-conference proceedings.

Conference Languages:

  • Plenary Sessions: Conducted in both Chinese and English.

  • English Language Education Sessions: Submissions and presentations must be in English.

  • Bilingual Sessions: Presentations may be delivered in both Chinese and English.

  • International Chinese Education Conference: The official language for presentations is Chinese.

Submission Deadlines:

📌 Early Bird Registration Deadline: April 20, 2026, 23:59 (Beijing Time)

Registration shall be based on the actual payment time. A confirmation email of successful registration will be sent by the Organizing Committee upon the completion of payment. All time points refer to Beijing Time. The right of final interpretation shall vest in the Conference Organizing Committee.

The Conference Organizing Committee will conduct a review of all speech abstracts. Authors who submit their abstracts by April 20 and pass the review will receive a formal invitation letter by the end of April.

Group Discount Policies & Deadlines

  1. Early Bird Group Discount Registration Deadline: April 20, 2026, 24:00 (Beijing Time).

  2.  Standard Group Discount Registration Deadline: April 20, 2026, 24:00 (Beijing Time).

  3. Closing of Group Discounts: As of June 1, 2026, no further applications for group discounts in any form will be accepted.

  4. Applicability: The aforementioned discount policies and deadlines apply to registration for both the Main Conference and Workshops.

Workshops:

Participants may choose to attend our cutting-edge educational workshops, led by distinguished scholars, academic leaders, and classroom Practitioners from the U.S. language education community. A Certificate of Completion will be awarded to all workshop participants. The fees are as follows:

Workshop Fees:

  • 1–5 workshops: USD 125 each (RMB 875 each)

  • 6–10 workshops: 20% discount — USD 100 each (RMB 700 each)
